KwaDukuza Private Hospital joined the KwaDukuza Mall and Stanger Weekly for the 16th national Cancer Association of South Africa’s (CANSA) Shavathon on Saturday, 2 March 2019, held at the KwaDukuza Mall.

Many brave men and women from the community shaved off their hair completely, whilst others cut off their ponytails in order to donate it to the CANSA foundation to be turned into wigs for those suffering with cancer.

The volunteers also sprayed hair and sold bandanas, badges, mugs and many other items in order to raise funds for Cancer awareness.

The theme of the event was “Colouring Hope” and the event was truly a beautiful, humbling, heart-touching experience.
There was also dancing, singing, music and performances by the mixed martial arts group, with the theme being “Let’s fight Cancer!”.

KPH Management would like to thank the KwaDukuza Mall and the Stanger Weekly for allowing us to incorporate with them for this event.
